Dental Insurance at Soothing Dental
All PPO insurance accepted · We file the claim for you. Here’s how insurance works at our office, what we can’t bill, and your options if you don’t have a PPO plan.
PPO plans
We accept all PPO plans, including Delta Dental, Cigna, Aetna, MetLife, Guardian, United Concordia, Anthem Blue Cross and Principal — and we file the claim for you.
We’re typically out-of-network for major PPO carriers (Cigna, Aetna, Guardian, MetLife, Delta), but we accept and submit claims for all PPO plans. Most patients receive 50–80% reimbursement of usual and customary rates from their insurer. We submit claims directly so your reimbursement comes back to you within 2–4 weeks.
A PPO plan lets you go to any office, and the insurance company pays a certain percentage of your costs.

HMO, DHMO and Denti-Cal
We accept all PPO plans. And we cannot bill any HMO plans. We are not a part of any DHMO plan, and we also do not accept Denti-Cal.
PPO or DHMO? How to tell
It’s usually written on your insurance card: look for the word PPO or DHMO anywhere on your card. Another sign is if your insurance company has assigned you to a certain dental office. That means that you have a DHMO plan.
If you have a DHMO plan but want to have a soothing experience in our office, you can pay out of pocket or subscribe to one of our monthly plans.
Check your benefits for free
Not sure what your plan covers? Our front desk verifies benefits before any visit at no charge — even for first-time patients. We can also check your annual limits and your coverage.

No insurance? Our monthly plans
If you don’t have a PPO plan, and you’d like to take advantage of our in-house monthly plans, you can subscribe to one of those and save while you’re taking care of your oral health in our office.
Think of our plans as something like a Costco membership. You pay a monthly fee and in return you get discounted rates.
- No annual limits
- Covers many services not covered by insurance, like cosmetics, surgery and Invisalign
- No waiting period: you can start using your plan as soon as you sign up
Which plan is right for me?
Silver
If you don’t have much work, have taken great care of your teeth, and want a plan to maintain your oral health.
Gold
If you already have some fillings or need regular deep cleanings.
Platinum
If you need more than just a few fillings, have significant dental work, or want cosmetic procedures like whitening.
Each plan covers procedures by category: Diagnostic & Preventative, Minor care, Major care, and Cosmetic & Products. See monthly prices and coverage in our plans section, or book a checkup and we’ll help you pick the plan that minimizes your costs.

For payment plans we work with CareCredit and offer in-house financing on larger cases. You get a written treatment plan with costs before any work begins.
